A laptop for study and work: what to look at

RAM

For a browser with many tabs, office apps and video calls 16 GB is comfortable today. 8 GB is enough for simple tasks but runs out sooner.

Storage

Pick an SSD. 512 GB suits most people; 256 GB fills up quickly if you keep photos and video.

Screen

14" is lighter to carry, 15.6–16" is more comfortable for spreadsheets and code. Check the resolution: Full HD (1920×1080) or higher.

Processor

Compare processors of the same generation: new Core Ultra, Ryzen or Apple M-series chips are usually faster and more efficient than older ones.
