Galaxy S26, S26+ or S26 Ultra: Which One to Choose

The Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra were announced on February 25, 2026. All three have 12 GB of RAM, IP68, 1–120 Hz displays and 7 years of Android updates. They differ in size, cameras, charging and chipset.

Key differences

• Display: S26 — 6.3" FHD+, S26+ — 6.7" QHD+, Ultra — 6.9" with Privacy Display (hides the screen from side angles).
• Chipset: the Ultra uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy everywhere. The S26 and S26+ use the Exynos 2600 in Europe and most countries; Snapdragon only in the US, China and Japan. Check which version a store sells.
• Cameras: S26 and S26+ — 50 MP + 12 MP ultrawide + 10 MP 3x telephoto. Ultra — 200 MP + 50 MP ultrawide + 10 MP 3x + 50 MP 5x periscope.
• Battery and charging: S26 — 4300 mAh / 25 W, S26+ — 4900 mAh / 45 W, Ultra — 5000 mAh / 60 W.
• Weight: 167 g, 190 g and 214 g.

Which to choose

• S26 — for a compact flagship. Weak spots: 25 W charging and a smaller battery.
• S26+ — bigger QHD+ screen and 45 W charging, but the same cameras as the base model.
• S26 Ultra — if you care about zoom (5x optical), the 200 MP camera and Snapdragon. It costs only about 61,000 ֏ more than the S26+, so for most buyers the Ultra is a better purchase than the Plus.
